Emilia practices evidenced-based techniques and utilizes TalkTools principles for Oral Placement and a Sensory Motor approach to feeding and speech clarity. She also integrates the Kaufman and Beckman principles to speech sound production and specializes in Apraxia of Speech. Emilia is licensed in NY and NJ .

INITIAL ORAL PLACEMENT/FEEDING AND SPEECH EVALUATION
This service includes an in-depth speech and feeding evaluation (approximately 75 minutes) and a detailed OPT Program that you will receive via e-mail within 2 weeks of the evaluation. The OPT program will include sensory and pre-feeding exercises, feeding techniques, OPT exercises, and expressive speech activities. This is an in-person service. If you choose to have Emilia complete an OPT Program Plan you will receive discounted hands-on training at a later date. It is highly recommended you become trained in OPT techniques.
TRAVEL CLINICS
CNY Speech Pathology provides pediatric oral placement, feeding, speech evaluations, orofacial myofunctional therapy evaluations, and more. Details/fees to be discussed on an individual basis.
IEP/ VIDEO CONSULTATION
This service includes a report of detailed sensory, feeding, or speech activities upon review of a 45-minute video (during play, while communicating and during mealtime in the child’s natural environment) and current documentation of IEPs. You may ask specific clinical questions you would like answered. Emilia will write an outline of findings with suggested therapy techniques. This cannot be a full OPT program plan as this is not a direct evaluation and treatment.
PARENT AND THERAPIST HANDS ON OPT TRAINING
Partnering with parents and professionals is critical for the acquisition and carryover of skills. Emilia will educate and empower you to implement custom-tailored exercises and strategies outside the clinic setting, in order for your child/student to optimize his/her potential and gain the most from Oral Placement Therapy. This service does not include a report but you are free to take notes throughout the session.
